Marlayna Zachary, Principal
Marlayna Zachary began her tenure as Blue Hole Primary School Principal in January 2025, after four and a half years as Assistant Principal at Jacob's Well Elementary. Mrs. Zachary earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Early Childhood Education and has 23 years of total education experience, serving in many roles throughout her career as a teacher and instructional coach in Hays CISD and Austin ISD prior to her time in WISD. In January 2024 year, Mrs. Zachary was named the 2024 Region 13 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).
Mrs. Zachary is married to her husband John Zachary, a chef who serves in the senior living industry as a dining services director. They have two sons, Colton and Corbin.
Meagan Buck, Assistant Principal
Meagan Buck will begin her first year as Blue Hole Primary School Assistant Principal in 2022-23. Mrs. Buck has been a teacher for 6 years, 5 in Pre-K, and 1 in first grade, all of them with Wimberley ISD. She received her Bachelor's degree from Fort Hays State University and her Master's degree in Education Administration from Texas A&M University.
Mrs. Buck lives in Wimberley with her husband Grant and their two children, a son that attends Wimberley High School, and a daughter that goes to Danforth Jr. High.
